🔗 Share this article Springfield's Favorite Family Makes Its Debut in Psyonix's Hit Game: Unfortunately Not the Car Fans Are Dreaming Of It was previously announced that The Simpsons was teaming up with Fortnite, but this isn't the sole destination where fans can experience the universe of Springfield. The beloved show is also making its way to the popular soccer-driving hybrid, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be compatible in Fortnite. That said, if gamers will actually want to equip it is a different matter, as there's only one Simpsons vehicle the community is eager to drive, and this isn't it. The Dream Vehicle While many players would absolutely enjoy to face off behind the wheel of Homer's custom creation—the famously flawed car Homer built himself in the classic episode "the one where he meets Herb"—that's not what players are receiving. We aren't even getting the massive SUV, the heavy-duty vehicle showcased in season 10. Instead, fans are getting the Simpsons' standard beat-up four-door, which has been in the family since 1989. Even though this particular car has accumulated plenty of miles, it remains an iconic symbol of the show. For those who analyze Rocket League car hitboxes, the trusty sedan shares the identical collision model as the Dominus. The event will also include a set of objectives to earn more goodies, all of which are Simpsons-themed. According to a press release, the missions will require players to "get as many centers and clears as there are The Simpsons seasons, collect boost pickups as if your GPS is set to the Simpson house, and travel a specific distance sufficient for acquiring the ideal pastries!" Although the full lineup of challenge rewards isn't yet revealed, here is what has been confirmed up to this point: Blinky topper Homer's Hedges player banner Waste wheels 20,000 XP per challenge If the key art is a reliable guide, it appears fans will also receive rims with a TV showing The Simpsons' title sequence, alien antenna toppers, a sprinkled donut boost trail, and rocket boosts themed to smoldering rubber and Krusty's famous restaurant. Event Timing and Fortnite Connection This event coincides with the extensive Simpsons invasion of Fortnite's island, which brings a completely new playable area of the fictional town, in addition to a month-long Battle Pass. This special Rocket League and Simpsons celebration begins on Saturday, Nov. 1 and concludes on November 17th.
